Crab Spread
6 ounces crab (can be real or ‘fake’)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/3 cup green onions
1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
1 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
Mix all ingredients together and spread
in a lightly greased pan about 1” thick.
Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes until
golden brown on top. Serve with crackers
or bagel chips.
Cheese Straws
1 pound sharp cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound margarine
dash of cayenne
3 cups flour
Grate cheese, mix with margarine. Sift
and measure flour. Add salt and cayenne.
Add to cheese. Press through cookie
press. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Broccoli Salad
1 bunch broccoli, cut into small florets
10 pieces crisp bacon
chopped red onion to taste
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Combine broccoli, bacon, red onion and
raisins. Toss with the dressing. Let salad
stand at least 3 hours in refrigerator,
turning once. You can also add ground
black pepper and salt to taste.
Beef Stew
2 pounds stew beef
3 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
(optional)
2 large potatoes, cut up
1 large onion, sliced
2 large carrots, sliced
1 cup or more of water or other
liquids such as vegetable stock
seasoning salt, salt and pepper
(to taste)
2 bay leaves (optional)
