Restaurants come and go, but not The Roystonian, a Royston institution since its origin as a truck stop in the 1950s. The Roystonian is known far and wide for good food, served cafeteriastyle in a relaxed family atmosphere. Called “down-home cooking,” the food tastes as if you were sitting at Granny’s table for Sunday dinner.

Some in the Royston area may argue that fried chicken was invented at The Roystonian. Even though that is not so, their fried chicken is out of thisworld! There is no secret recipe with special herbs and spices; it is just fresh, tender chicken cooked the old fashioned way. Perhaps that is part of the
